Penny Mayhew has worked as a Consultant, Facilitator and Coach for over 20 years. This has been in both the public and private sector, for a wide range of businesses and organisations. However, over the last few years, Penny has began to work more with individuals. For example, people who wanted to make lasting improvements in their life. Those that felt they were being held back from doing something quite wonderful. And children who felt overwhelmed by our ever-changing world. Penny studied and added EFT and hypnotherapy to the services she offers due to experiencing these treatments first hand.
When not working, Penny is a keen writer. She has published novels, which can be found here. And she also publishes non-fiction. She enjoys time with her family, and travelling.
Where Penny Mayhew works…
Based in Milton Keynes, Penny Mayhew works locally and in the surrounding areas. Her therapy room is a ‘hut‘ in the garden. She also works from a treatment room in facilities nearby. She can, when needed, offer hypnotherapy via Skype and FaceTime if it is not possible to meet clients face to face.
And there’s always the option of ‘therapy outdoors’ – as a huge fan of eco therapy, Penny offers coaching and therapy sessions outdoors in nature, either walking, sitting somewhere quiet, or a combination of both.
Who Penny Mayhew works with…
Penny not only works with individuals, but with organisations too. This is commonly when offering Stress Management and Hypnotherapy. Maybe it’s through difficult times, such as when a company is going through change. Or, as part of training days and career development. Penny also offers other more traditional courses (such as business skills and IT) through her company Training MK Ltd.
When working with individuals, Penny offers treatment to adults, young adults and children. She may have been approached directly or the client may have been referred. Issues include:
- confidence building
- delivering presentations
- a fear of flying, spiders or other phobia
- habits and addictions, including smoking and alcohol
- relationship issues
- insomnia and sleep disorders
Penny offers her clients a warm, friendly welcome, in a safe environment built on trust and confidentiality.
Penny Mayhew has personal experience of many of the issues she treats. This is partly due to her career history over the last 30+ years which has provided her with many challenges. But, each challenge and role was an uplifting opportunity, for which she is very grateful. Now, with increasing evidence of how our mental health affects our physical health, and vice versa, she is passionate about showing people how they can make a positive change. And, how they can lead the life they want to lead and deserve. Penny’s qualifications include:
Diploma in Hypnotherapy (DHP Acc.Hyp) | Emotional Freedom Techniques (Level One and Two) | Reiki Level One | Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory) | OCR Level 3 Award in Assessing Candidates
Penny is a member of the PHPA – Professional Hypnotherapy Practitioners Association
